HANSA MEDICAL is proud to announce the addition of Passivation to our ISO 13485 Certification Scope.
Passivation is the art of removing iron from the material and thus prohibiting corrosion on the product.

HANSA MEDICAL’s passivation service is validated and compliant with all of the ASTMA967 and ASTM F86  standards for the passivation of stainless steel, titanium, cobalt chrome and PEEK using Nitric or Citric Acid. Along with our fully validated passivation system we offer same day processing.
Our passivation process uses only the finest solution along with reverse osmosis water rinsing cycle.

A state-of-the-art salt spray chamber is used to verify the acceptability of each lot upon completion of the passivation process to insure compliance to the ASTM standards.  The passivation is conducted in a clean environment room with has positive air pressure, hepa air filtration, and ultraviolet light air purification systems.
